Youniti aims to create a better world for all, where people come together to fight poverty, difficult childhoods, social inequality, violence in all its forms, racism, discrimination, civic education and the fight against ignorance. We believe this will lead to a peaceful society where people can live in dignified conditions.
Youniti aims to achieve the following: support activities to combat poverty and unhappy childhoods; mobilize young people to pursue local entrepreneurship and develop income-generating activities; lead advocacy and actions that promote civic education, personal development, peace and non-violence; promote sustainable development and the rights of people living with disabilities.
In everything we do, YOUNITI promotes social cohesion, socio-economic integration and sustainable community development. Our focus areas include:
1. Education : Provide education for children living in poverty, orphans, teen mothers and female sex workers. We help people of all ages go back to school, pursue vocational training and develop their knowledge of French (reading and writing), math and geography. Youniti also helps provide school supplies, tables and chairs, refurbish classrooms, and build toilets in schools.
2. Economy : Promote financial education so that individuals learn how to manage their money and develop good habits.
Get young people involved in small-scale, local income-generating activities to enable them to become self-sufficient.
3. Health : Increase knowledge of genetic health among rural girls and boys, while promoting sexual and reproductive health among adolescents and adults to help stop the spread of sexually transmitted infections.
4. Training : Provide training to children with no formal education or those who face poverty. Courses are offered in agri-food, esthetics, fashion, hairdressing, IT, secretarial work, carpentry, shoemaking, nutrition, hygiene, vegetable gardening and permaculture. Organize presentations, awareness campaigns, forums and symposia on various topics such as peace, the fight against poverty, access to drinking water and responsible citizenship.
5- Sustainable development and the environment : Raise awareness and support community development initiatives, particularly with regard to drinking water supply and use. Strengthen and encourage local initiatives of community interest. A healthy environment is fundamental to achieving sustainable development, as it is the cornerstone of social and economic development.
6- New technologies : Ensure that people living in rural areas have access to new information and communication technologies.

OUR COMMITMENT
TO THE ENVIRONMENT
Environmental protection is a top priority for the Youniti Foundation and this concern shapes everything we do. Each of our centres will be built on a large lot and include permaculture, fruit trees and drinking water management facilities. These spaces will be maintained by the community and provide villagers with a secure source of food.
WEBSITE: YOUNITI.ORG
The new Youniti website is free to use and gives people the chance to help each other by giving away items or selling them for less than $40. The platform also allows companies and organizations to register in the directory, post items for sale for less than $40, and share news about special deals and liquidations. Notices about carpooling opportunities and garage sales can also be posted on the site.
Youniti aims to create an affordable marketplace for everyone, including individuals, businesses and organizations. In the same spirit of mutual aid, a portion of the website’s revenues is redistributed to the Youniti Foundation, which provides assistance to communities both locally and internationally.
